The Conference brings together leading academics, policymakers, and industry leaders to reflect critically on the future of postal and delivery services in an era of rapid digital, economic, and societal change. Participants from around the globe will discuss and explore pressing challenges, including digital transformation, AI-driven innovation, sustainability, regulatory reform, and inclusion.

About the Conference

For over three decades, the Conference has served as a key reference point for postal and delivery research and debate. The 34th edition will once again be organised in partnership with the Universal Postal Union (UPU), ensuring a strong international scope and diverse perspectives.

This year’s format features two partially integrated tracks

  • Conference sessions (academic, policy, business contributions)
  • UPU Innovation Challenge (a hands-on hackathon to develop AI- and data-driven solutions)

While each track follows its own dynamic, joint sessions will create a unique space for data-informed, multi-disciplinary dialogue between researchers, regulators, and practitioners.

Call for papers

Proposals are welcome across three tracks—Academic, Policy, and Business—with formats including full academic papers, position papers, and panel session proposals (with multi-institutional speakers).

Priority topics span market design and universal service, postal financial services and digital transformation, trade and supply-chain resilience, new business models, digital/data innovation, green and circular transition, and workforce/inclusion—plus a hands-on UPU Innovation Challenge running alongside the event.

Key dates:

  • Submit abstracts and proposals by 3 November 2025
  • Notifications go out on 15 December 2025
  • Final submissions due 1 April 2026

Fees

The Conference and Innovation Challenge are integrated, but priced according to the selected participation track. For fee details, please refer to the attached file.
